What to do with the children when the weather is awful, or you cant get out and about?

Im currently nursing a torn Achilles, so the reality of half term inside is making me anxious!

I'm not going to lie, sometimes the thought of getting out the craft box fills me with absolute horror.

The glue.

The glitter.

It cant always be avoided though, and I'd rather my two sat and got creative than sat in front of the TV all day (don't get me wrong, they watch plenty of it)

(and make them tidy it up!)

When the box does finally emerge, do you just let them loose? Do you give them some inspiration?

Its nice to have a plan, and that also means less random stuff everywhere.

Today, (like most days) I've been trawling Pinterest for ideas, I've asked some friends what they do with their children, and I've compiled some super fun ideas to keep them busy and creative!

There are a few companies online that sell ready to make craft kits, these are great for taking out short notice as they have everything you need, Im obsessed with Art Camp:

These Funfetti cookies are super cute and are REALLY easy to make!:

Go to Ikea all the time and have cardboard boxes breeding in your recycling bin? SAME!

Petit and Small have compiled these super cute ideas, all using cardboard boxes:

Handmade Charlotte has some beautiful crafts projects, these Llamas are amazing!

There's loads here to keep even the craftiest hands busy, but if you're in search of more inspiration, head over to my Pinterest page 'Playtime' for loads more.
