FROM THE TOP..

Hello! My name is Kelly, and I'm the woman behind Wildlings Interiors. I'm a busy mama of two, I have Seb who's six and Olive who is four. I also have a liver Dalmatian puppy called Winnie, whom I'm sure will feature here in my blog at some point!
I run Wildlings from home in Sevenoaks, Kent, amongst the chaos of everyday family life.
Many moons ago, before the madness that is motherhood, I was a designer.
A bit vague perhaps, but Its the best word to describe what I do, the bare bones of it.
I studied Design and Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts for many years, and those skills have been channelled into various roles over the years. Before its current incarnation, I designed costume jewellery for the High St (think ASOS, River Island, Monsoon etc) It gave me the opportunity to travel the world, gave me great insight t the fashion industry and enabled me to start experimenting and developing my own style.
After a few happy years there, I wanted to step out and launch my own jewellery brand which took form in Beau & Arrow, my first baby.
I taught myself the basics of silversmithing and got stuck in, I have the last remaining pieces for sale here.
After a few successful years, I found out I was pregnant and after Seb was born I soon realised I couldn't maintain B&A in the way it deserved to be run, so alas, that door closed, which was really hard.
Ultimately, my children inspired Wildlings. I became immersed in a new world, and they were at it's centre. Storytelling, adventures in the woods, discovering mini beasts, painting, making and creating a space for them became my new everyday job, its sometimes hard and thankless, but I love it all the same and wouldn't change it.
Being a mother takes over everything, (lets face it!) but the need to be creative was strong, its just as much a part of me as being a mum. I needed to share my passion for illustration, design, fashion and interiors in one space, I wanted to work, be inspired and creative again.
Wildlings was the result.
I created this blog to share my little world with you, and hope you find some inspiration for your little Wildlings spaces too.
